Timber, energy, metals and grain move through established break-bulk, container, tanker and air corridors. Every cargo is documented — phytosanitary, FSC or PEFC chain of custody, EUDR due diligence, FLEGT where applicable, Incoterms 2020 — before it ever leaves the yard.

Settled clean.
Counterparties are vetted, terms locked in writing, payment instruments confirmed before tonnage moves. CAD, LC at sight, escrow — the structure fits the deal, not the other way around.

A quieter kind of desk.
Axis was built for one thing: to move commodities between principals who'd rather work with one named desk than a chain of unknowns. We sit close to the mills, the refineries, the yards and the hangars, we know the captains and the surveyors, and we keep the deal sheet short on purpose.
Our mandates lean buy-side. We're paid to find the right tonnage, grade or asset at the right specification — certified, on time at the port. We're not paid to chase volume for its own sake.
Axis is part of Northforgegroup, a privately held house investing across commodities, shipping and industrial assets. The desk operates independently, with the patience that ownership allows.
